Stupid Statement of Legal Residence Question

Hey, I had a stupid question while filling out the SLR.

For this question - "Do you believe you are eligible for one of the following nonresident supplemental tuition exemptions?" - do I say "yes" or "no" if I am a CA resident, having lived there all my life? I am just paranoid as I don't want to have to pay for higher tuition.

Yes. Assuming one of these[/url”>http://registrar.berkeley.edu/exemptions.html]these applies to you.

Edit: Didn’t notice that you have been living in CA. You shouldn’t have to answer this question in the first place then.

I am an instate student. But it doesn’t give me a choice to not answer the question; it’s either yes or no.

Anyone want to help me out?

I swear by almighty Allah, I’m not as ungrateful as I seem.

Since you are not a non-resident I would assume that you put “no”. If you are worried about putting down the wrong answer just call Berkeley on Monday someone can probably clarify.
