Subject tests for Neuroscience major?

I am applying to schools as a neuroscience major and am currently studying neuroscience in HS. The school I go to is an alternative school and realllllllyyyy does not prepare us for standardized tests (besides the ACT I haven’t taken any standardized tests including APs or regents etc since 3rd grade). Whatever subject tests I’d take I’d need to do a large amount of studying for to get a good score on so I really am just curious as to what you guys think would be the best subject tests to show that I am a good candidate for their neuroscience program  thanks

I am not sure what kind of courses you are taking, but a good rule of thumb if you are planning to go into college studying some type of science, is to take science-related subject tests. If you are referring to AP subject tests, the Collegeboard website advises taking psychology and chemistry. I would also advise taking other science and math courses just to have a well-rounded foundation for your future. Courses like Calculus, Physics, Statistics, and Biology may be helpful as well. (An anatomy/physiology class would also be helpful but is not offered as an AP course.)

If you are referring to SAT subject tests, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Math 1 or 2 would be good to submit with your application. It just shows your interest/success in math and science, and only helps your chances at being admitted into your program.

Hope it helps and best of luck!
