I registered online for the October SAT today, and in addition to all the information I gave them the last time (spring 2011), they made me send them a photo of myself that would be similar to what I would look on test day. Obviously this is a new way to prevent cheaters from taking the test under someone else's name. I hadn't heard about this until I registered today. Did anybody else hear about this or have to do this when they registered for the upcoming SATs?

This is a new security measure. If you mail your registration in, you will have to include a photo as well. That photo will be on your admissions ticket, as a another way to ensure you don’t have someone else taking the test for you.

Incidentally, they will have a database of all the photos, and colleges will have limited access to that database - so don’t send someone else for your interview either.
