Submitted My USC Merit Scholarship Application a minute late. Is there anything I can do?

I’m assuming that my application will now automatically go to a regular decision which sucks because I definitely will not go without any merit-based assistance because my family can’t afford it. Is there anything I can do to still be considered for merit support (I had it done on time, was just making some final adjustments to one of my essays) such as emailing them becasue right now I’m assuming it’s a lost cause which is depressing. Thanks in advance!

Email your admissions advisor (find them on website) and tell them your submission posted a minute late, but you intended on being considered for merit. Nothing to lose if you can’t go without merit.

And for any other college deadlines, don’t wait until last minute or even the last day. With time stamps on the apps, someone submitting with a minute to spare doesn’t come off as the most organized person. Not saying it makes a difference in the admissions process, particularly if you are fabulous, but it just doesn’t present well generally speaking.
