I submitted my part 1 application last month and received the customary confirmation email. Reading through previous posts, however, it seems that others have received a pack in the mail with paper application forms (not really necessary as I'm doing it online) and their USC ID barcode stickers (preferable for letters of rec).

Just wondering if anyone this year has received anything like this in the mail? If not then I guess its either too early or they're not doing it this year. I am an international so maybe that has a part to play?

Our S submitted his part one some time ago. He received an email acknowledgement of receipt, but no further hard copy app packet or bar coded labels. We’re just proceeding by printing the forms for the counselor and teachers and handwriting in the USC assigned number. If they really preferred to have the bar coded stickers used, I contend they should have sent them by now. (I have certian opinions others might not, since DH is on the math faculty there. For example, my S is applying to a number of Common App schools and some UCs. The only school for which the GC and teachers will need to send “hard copy” information is USC. IMHO, USC needs to fix this.)
