Are apps submitted under the Regular Decision Deadline read any earlier than the other RD apps? Are there any benefits to submitting much earlier than the deadline (I’ve already submitted my Vandy, WashU, a few more)? I’m honestly just looking to get these apps out of my way so I’ve been finishing a lot of them early but I’m not sure if they’re even going to be read immediately or just wait until the admissions staff are done with EA/ED decisions.
Many universities have early cut-off dates for merit-based scholarship applications. Check that out at the places that are on your list.
Same question. If I turn in my RD app early will they look at my app early, before my senior grades come in? I would love to have my senior grades included. Say the deadline in January 1st but I turn in my app tomorrow, will they see my app and make a decision before then?
If the college has an EA or ED process, your early RD app will be set aside until the hard work with EA/ED is completed in late December.
