what if the college did something that you think is unfair and you couldn't get it sort out. Can you sue?

If so, how? which court? how much?

Could you please be a little more vague? I think you've given us too much information.

Seriously though, nobody can help if you don't at least generalize the circumstances. I would say that, if the college administration conspired to murder your parents, then yes, you could probably sue. On a final note, this is not a law board, so we may not be able to help you anyhow.

Colleges are Businesses, lets say if you pay for a class, and the professor never shows up, but they wont give you a refund. Its the same as buying a gym subscription and then the gym is always closed.

if they completely screw you over, yeah you could sue. Some girls suing OSU because she was raped and claims they didn't do enough to help her (a frivelous case I believe, but a case none the less).

That said, if you plan on suing over something like not getting admission, or the class you wanted was full, you're not gonna win.

Thanks for the good laugh. Seriously.

I almost filed a grievance against my former college because I had to go on medical leave and nobody seemed to know what that meant. One prof wanted to fail me in a course because of an illness I had no control over! He was also very ignorant when talking to me, who was in poor health at the time. A friend had a similar situation at high school and eventually proved her point. Like her I fought for my case. Most of the people there laughed at me. I ultimately won six out of eight battles.

In America, you can sue anybody for anything.

Hey GyroidFanatic, I'm from Norfolk too. Which high school do you go to? I went to Granby. =)
