Alrighty heyy, I'm a rising senior in Minnesota and i need some help on my college list :(
I have a 3.83uw gpa and a 4.1w gpa, I've taken a pretty decent courseload and I'm taking 3 APs senior year
I got a 33 composite on my ACT (33e 33m 33r 31s 10writing)

The things i want in a college are:
great academics
active social scene, not a commuter campus
college town environment, or a nice city
available major in neuroscience/neurobiology would be great, but not a necessity
i'm interested in medium-bigger schools, i feel like a small school would seem like high school
good need-based/merit-based financial aid, because i'm crazy poor
the area doesn't really matter, I'm willing to go anywhere

these are some of the schools i'm considering applying to:
Brown (just applying for the <1% that i'd get in)
Stanford (same with brown)
UMich Ann Arbor
UNC-Chapel Hill
UW-Madison
UMN-Twin Cities

Any more schools that you could suggest, or opinions on these schools would be SOO helpful! I know i need more safeties in my list too.. so if you can think of any that'd be great. I've also ruled out Northwestern and UChicago just because I didn't like them hahah. Sooo yeah! thank you!

Definitely UVA. Some others would be Duke, Vandy, Boston College. And to my knowledge Stanford does not offer an undergraduate neuroscience program, correct?

Thanks guys! Would these schools be safeties/matches? slipper1234 i considered almost all of those schools to be reaches hahaha, would i really have a chance? :)

Also - I’ll have to check into Stanford about neuroscience, but even if it doesn’t have that program i’d still love to go for undergrad bio or psych!

I’ll definitely check all these out! Any more suggestions?

Hey incredibad you should have a good shot at a few of them. How are your ECs and where does your GPA put you among your class? Your ACT is pretty decent so on that front you have a shot at those!

My ECs are pretty good! i do TONS of volunteering and i’m leaders in a lot of things but nothing really stands out. & my school doesn’t rank anymore THANK GOD, i’d be around the top 20%. & Thank you! My college list just got a heck of a lot bigger hahaha.

Do you see me having any chance at Stanford/Brown? :)
