suggest some schools??

I’m currently a junior in high school. I’m pretty stressed about college admissions and would love some college suggestions.

Basic Info:

ACT:

  • 1st attempt: 31 (didn’t study)
    -2nd attempt prediction: 33

GPA: most demanding courses w/ one A-
-3.9 UW
-4.5 W

Strong Extracurriculars (in my opinion)

College Criteria:

-I want a selective college, but I do NOT want to be stressed 24/7
-I’m planning on majoring in psych & being pre-med
-mid-sized
-non-religious
-warm year round

Current List:

-Vanderbilt
-Emory
-Pomona
-Stanford
-Duke
-Wake Forest
-Tulane
-State Schools (Safety)

What other schools fit my stats and preferences? Should I take any off my current list? Thanks!

Pitzer might offer the strongest psychology department of the Claremonts.

What about finances. Can your parents afford to pay college tuition or will you be applying for financial assistance?

Here are a few other schools to research: Occidental, Rice, and Santa Clara.

Where do you live? Do you prefer West or East coast? What is your family’s budget?

Isn’t Santa Clara Jesuit? OP specified “non-religious” (though that means different things to different people, college-wise)

Technically, Emory is religious & has a school of religion (Methodist, I believe) but a very significant part of the student body is Jewish.

USC and University of Miami check your boxes.
