Well, my parents are improvidently only considering local TX state schools for me, but i tend to disagree. So, do you think i have any chance/edge to get into Yale?

I won't laundry list, but here is a quick summarization

rank 1
gpa 4.0
AP's 12
(taken 4 tests--all 5's)
ACT 34
SAT 2160
SAT II 800 math2,800bio,720 physics, 740 history
EC's
Well, i will only list my major passions and ECs i have devoted most of my time to:

Pub. article on PubMed
Online mag.
Violin - carnegie hall/playing 10 yrs/ teacher
Debate- LD,CX, extempt
Model UN
Bball captain/vball captain NTRCA
MAO- organized competitions for children all across the county

Also does YAle give financial aid or just school grants?

With those kinds of stats, I would definitely say go for it. Being captain of athletics teams, playing an instrument, and still finding time to write stuff definitely constitutes the good EC's needed, while your test scores are realliy good. The only flaw I can see is in your SAT I score, but your ACT makes up for it along with your SAT II's.

Even if your parents are insisting on you staying in state, at least convince them to apply to Yale just to see if you get in. There's really nothing to lose, except for the $45 to apply, but just getting into Yale and being able to say that I think is worth it. And you may qualify for a lot of financial aid. Even families with incomes over $100k are receiving aid from the ridiculously overpriced, no merit scholarship schools such as the Ivys. Check into their statistics on aid, you will be surprised on how much you may be able to get.
