Hello. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on colleges i should look. As a person who went to a small public school in upstate New York, I really did not explore many career or major options. So I was wondering if anyone could give me some colleges that have a multitude of majors, so i can explore many career paths. Some things that I have been intrested in is Urban Studies/ Planning, Film Studies, or Achitechure. But these could completely change.
It’s fine to go into college undecided! I also went to a small public school in upstate New York, and I’m still undecided about my major going into my second year of college at Cornell. Most colleges, aside from technical institutes, have a wide variety of majors. You might try looking into some liberal arts colleges or colleges with no core curriculum so you’re free to explore as many options as you want. If you’re applying to a university made up of small colleges, don’t apply to a very concentrated college, e.g. engineering. Apply to a broader one like arts and sciences, which will give you the liberal arts feel and chance to explore a lot of majors within a large university.
