Congratulations on all your daughter’s accomplishments. She is in a great position for the future!
A couple of business-focused schools I would suggest in the northeast: Bryant University and Bentley University. Your daughter might have pretty good chances at both schools. I have heard slightly negative things about Bentley’s social atmosphere, but only good things about Bryant! Could be something to check out.
Poets&Quants does a reputable annual list of the top 50 undergrad business schools in the US, with detailed descriptions of each. It is available online.
She sounds Ike a very talented young woman who will have many good options. I might caution to look carefully at schools, as some business programs are highly quantitative, and if your child is not, that can be a bad fit. You might prefer one less quantitative, even if that school is lower ranked than you might prefer.
In Texas I think you have good choices. Add Baylor and SMU. My niece has a business degree from Trinity and has a very good job making very good money so it is not a terrible option! My other niece has a business degree from UTSA and has an excellent career in San Antonio. If you look out of state you will have excellent opportunities. Look at Arizona State which has a very good business school. Our neighbor (in TX) is going there and says the school seems much smaller than it is because the people in her major seem like their own little school. My son ended up leaving TX for Kansas State (not business focus school) and it cost about the same as in state. They have automatic scholarships for 3.5 and over with 29 SAT scores (unless it changed this year) as do many other out of state schools with good business schools. She has more options than you can even imagine!
Just a mention. There are a LOT of excellent scholarships for kids who have survived cancer. So after all the applications are out, do some cruising around on the internet. She could get some serious money for college.
If you are OK with Jesuit Colleges many of them are mid-sized universities with smaller classes and most have well regarded business schools. You can look at this list for schools that might be geographic/academic matches. Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities--Jesuit Colleges and Universities (For full disclosure my S went to the business school at Fordham and had a wonderful experience.)
Thank You. We had heard about that but was not something we had paid too much attention to but will definitely start to research to try to take advantage of opportunities available.
