Suggestions please

So apparently even though I have been sopho. standing since the end of Fall Quarter, I still have to complete 42 units before Fall 2008.

According to my original course schedule, I would have fallen one unit short, so my counselor suggested a fiat lux. However I think it is a complete waste of time. Therefore I was pondering upon the following schedule and please tell me which one is better.

Schedule suggested by counselor:

Econ 2
GE Seminar
History 1C
Fiat Lux

My revised schedule:

Econ 2
GE Seminar
History 1C
French 14: Intro. to French Civ. and Cul.

My schedule takes care of 3 GEs while the counselor's schedule takes care of only two. I believe my schedule will save me a lot of time. Do you guys think it is do-able? I will be working 10-12hrs per week next quarter with possibly 70% of the time doing my homework/readings, and my frat stuff/social life.

PLEASE GIVE ME ADVICE!!!

THANK YOU!!!

Also, if the courseload is too much, I can always drop history and that would still make it 15 units. the only problem with French is that I have to shift my Econ discussion...which is undo-able right now on URSA since the class is full and closed and therefore take off the enrollment menu.

I think you should pick your revised schedule. I find counselors incompetent! And if you can't manage that schedule along with the rest of your "priorities" then I don't see why you should continue with the ridiculous farce you call your life.
