Suing an admissions consultant when there's no thick envelope

Interesting article about an Asian couple suing an admissions consultant who allegedly claimed he could get their sons into Harvard:

They’re not suing him because he didn’t get their kids into Harvard. They’re suing him for fraud after he refused to return the 2 million dollars he was supposed to be investing for them and failed to show any evidence that he made the donations for which he charged them.
