My daughter works at an ice cream parlour and wants to take up riding again. She has had to put that on the back burner this year. I need to wean myself away from her and find something for ME to do this summer!

@bisouu what a concept!

Bisouu, riding (club team) was the key to my daughter’s health and sanity in college while she worked on a BA in theater. She stuck with it despite work-study jobs, full courseload, constant crewing or stage managing gigs, and designing sets for shows. I say, let your girl go for it this summer while she can, and here’s hoping she can stick with what makes her feel happy no matter where she ends up next. :)

My S will be in a local summer theatre performance up through June, family vacation in July, and then hopefully working for his Dad throughout the rest of the summer…while still finding lots of time to hang out with friends, the girlfriend, and family. I am positive this summer will fly by and all our rising stars will go away to college and life as we know it will definitely change…a little melancholy already I think.

I know–who will entertain us once they’re gone?? I feel like I’ve been living with the cast of Saturday Night Live for 17 years. It’ll be so quiet and boring. :D
