Summer calculus?

So I’m sort of considering changing my major to CS if I don’t get into my top UC choices for English. I’m going for CS mostly for job demand. I’m backing off english because I don’t feel comfortable with finding careers besides teaching.

Anyways this will be my 4th year at a CCC if I go through the CS route. I will be IGETC certified by end of April and I’ll have a humanities AA with around 79 semester units done. Plus CS classes close to 100+. I also turn 21 this year so if that means anything.

Anyways my question is I haven’t taken a math class since spring 2015 (statistics) and I’m eligible to take Calculus 1 in a 1 month summer course. I pretty much do not remember any math and I’m slightly hesitant to sign up for Calculus. I did take pre-calc part 1 in fall 2014 but I don’t really remember much. Should I just take the combo precalculus 1+2 and take Calculus 1 in fall. Or try to brush off the rust and study my butt off for summer. I finish this semester in April so I can self study till summer.

I think you should take pre-calc first. I struggled a lot with calculus after not having taken a real math class for several years and that was during fall semester. Summer calc sounds overwhelming.
