summer camp and activities

<p>I have a classmate who is going to the summer camp at MIT. I'm jealous. Do I have to be recommended or recognized to go?</p>

<p>I'm also curious about how much extra curricular activities we should have in order to get admitted. The classmate of mine has 4.0, 2350, tennis, and a whole bunch of stuff like science bowl, science olympiad, math league, GPML, scratch pad, school web, WFP, AMC>AIME>US national thing, etc etc. When I look at her status and back at mine, I get depressed. She's probably looking at harvard though</p>

<p>Eh, RSI is REEEEEALLY selective. They only take 50 people from the states and 25 people internationally. Needless to say, I didn't get in. There are, of course, less selective ones for women and minorities.</p>
