summer enrollment problems

i am a current freshman. now i wanna major in phy sci and minor in english, so i wanna save some time by taking lotsa summer classes.

right now, taking session c seems unfavorable; i don't wanna get burnt out.

I know chem lab is a lot of work but I wasn't aware that taking Chem 30lab and LS core in one session could be too much. Now i'm scared.

dont get me wrong, taking summer sessions is a good thing if you've nothing else to do like research/internship/study abroad, but don't overload yourself. saving a quarter's worth of work is great, as you can take less units during your other quarters and use the time to pursue research opportunities, clinical work, or volunteering (especially if you're pre-med).

taking summer sessions in the hopes of graduating a year early is not worth it, imho. you only get to experience undergrad once, and there are so many opportunities outside of classes that you'll be cutting out if you chop off a year from your college experience.

Is it a bad idea to attempt an internship/job during summer + 2 classes?

depends on the classes, but you'll have to put in a good amount of effort. i had a 15 hours/week work-study job, 6 hours/week research job, chem 14bl, and math 3c during session a. as long as you study effectively, i think you'd should have free time still.

30BL is a horrible time sink nightmare from everyone that has told me about it.

why would you take all that in the summer?????

btw, ls3 is a prereq for ls4

There are two 6 week sessions in summer. Session A and Session C. I'm taking LS 3 and LS 4 in sequence.

^ic well that shouldn't be too bad i guess.
