Summer Financial Aid Trouble

I am planning on doing an internship in DC this summer however I just realized that I will only receive roughly ~1200 of aid and housing will cost ~2400. I have used up all my loans for this year and now I have no clue what to do. I really don't want to borrow money from my parents since they're already in debt as is and I currently have 1700 saved up but I'll need money for personal expenses. I'm going to speak with my financial aid adviser tomorrow but I was just wondering if there are any possible options out there such as taking out private loans, etc. Also since my EFC for the next school year will be 0 (this year was around~2000) I'll technically be getting more aid, so is it possible to transfer that aid and use it during the summer? Thanks so I much I really appreciate it.

The solution is to find cheaper housing for the summer. $2400 for a summer is too much in my opinion. Try finding an apartment share (I did this many many years ago in DC so I know its possible).

Room AND board for my son’s summer internship will be $1,600. I understand that living costs in DC are high but the company or organization running the internships should realize this and perhaps offer suggestions or housing for their interns.
