Okay, so I'm looking to do some final things to fill up my college resume and have a stronger appeal to high level universities. As-is, I am ranked number one in my class of 390 students, I have an unweighted 4.0 gpa, I've taken four AP tests, gotten high scores on them, and plan on taking three more for my senior year, volunteer with several organizations, including a local hospital, and am the president of my school's chapter of the NHS, and am a representative in my school's student government. Next year I plan on joining FBLA, Mu Alpha Theta, and Youth and Government as well. Even with this, I feel like I have weak extra curruculars and would not seem different from all the other smart kids on an Ivy League application. What are some things I could do or get involved in to make me appeal better to an Ivy League school?

Get a summer internship. Start your essays and visit schools so you can write more compelling essays for the supplements.

I’m pretty sure I already replied to your other thread, but I’ll expand on my advice here.

EC Criteria:
1)Unique. Poetry, ringette, astrology summer program, you name it.
2)Impactful. But make sure it’s not too simple, like merely aiding the elderly; maybe you could start an entertainment club for seniors? Something like that.
3)Time-consuming! 100+ hours is ideal. You can’t just do a week because adcoms will think you just did it for admissions.
4)Something you can write about and learn from! Your essay is a great place to show character development and quality, so make use of it.

Internships and jobs are great too to show commitment.
