I'm wondering if there are any summer bands in Boston or the Boston area. I'm looking for community bands or sightreading type bands, not music camps or things like that. I saw online about Harvard Summer Pops Band, but I was wondering if there are any more bands in Boston in the summer.

Try to investigate the “Continuing Education/Extension/Adult learning/etc etc” division at the area’s local conservatories.

NEC, for example has some classical improvisation courses:

Also check if BU has anything that might look like possible leads:

Are you a saxophonist (your sn leads me to believe so)? Check out Berklee:
[What’s the program like? | Saxophone Weekend | Berklee Summer Programs](http://www.berklee.edu/summer/saxophoneweekend/program-like.php)
Berklee also has a whole range of various musical programs in the summer.

Thanks for the leads. I dont know if any of these will work out, but it is good knowing what is out there.

And yes, I play sax, and flute.
