Hey, so I'm currently looking for a good summer program in France. No one of those "study-abroad" programs or enchanges, but one that local kids there go to, so I can be immersed in a real French environment. Can anyone who's in France or has lived there tell me about some good camps, summer programs you know there, and help me? Thanks!!!

Please, any comment might help!! Feel free!!!

Yeah, I wanted to do the same thing. I’m also currently looking for a good program, and I agree, don’t go on one of those study abroad trips, because they don’t help much. A friend of mine tried it once, didn’t help much, so I should know. So yeah, if anyone’s got any ideas about summer programs in France? That would be great. Be sure to let me know!

If you post this in the study abroad section, you’ll probably get some better reply’s. Depending on your level of French, and if you have a general command of the language, you could look into programs that offer homestays or exchanges, though most are not during the summer…

I’m french from Paris. I really don’t advise you to go to a french camp because they are simply very bad (generally speaking). Do you speak french (or at least understand) ? because without that you’ll be totally lost as only a few french people speaks english.
If you still want to go you should attend a camp with a specialty (I mean a litterature ou scientific camp for example). I don’t have a specific one in mind, sorry.
If you have any other question, I’ll be happy to help !
