Summer job ideas

<p>landscaping is a great way to make money... I do work landscaping while home from college and make 13 an hour!!! its hard work sometimes but you do get to be out in the sun all day and you are pretty much working out so its a win win... although at the end of the day you do get pretty tired</p>

<p>Why not look for internship. But summer jobs there's lot to do. If you're not looking specifically jobs in your major I'd go with the tutoring/summer school counselors/ recreation...</p>

<p>I work at Baskin Robins right now. I got my job within days of applying and I'll just work there until the end of summer when I go to college. I've been working through the school year, though. I'm transfering to the BX (base exchange) soon, though, and I keep my pay.. like $10/hr. It's not bad at all.</p>

<p>A good summer camp of your willing to move away. Some don't charge room and board.</p>

<p>Amusement parks hire very easily if there's one near you. Try to work in guest services/customer relations or whatever they call it.</p>

<p>anyways, i worked at ColdStone and it sucked because i had to spend 30 minutes cleaning up the store everyday!</p>

<p>For CS majors, there's the Google Summer of Code. Probably too late for this year but it may be a consideration for 2009.</p>

<p>eva, they were asking for a summer job. I however, will work next summer for a cancer research company in boston with 10k pay, housing and food paid, and travel fees. doing summer schoool this year</p>

<p>Our son got a notice from his department on two jobs integrating music notation with computer science. One is to be filled by someone in an arts major and the other by someone with a CS major. The funding is from a research grant. Our son is a CS major with a music background so he should fit the bill. He's busy studying for finals and didn't want to talk about it. I was wondering if many here do this kind of thing over the summer.</p>

<p>This summer I'm working at my local zoo. </p>

<p>Decent pay, okay hours since it's only open 8AM-6PM on weekdays, and the manager of my department isn't too bad.</p>

<p>I wanted to become a camp counselor at my park district but I applied late so I have no chance of doing that this summer, either way I would have been hated by the little brats, haha.</p>
