National Regitration Center for Study Abroad www.nrcsa.com. This is a broker for many programs. When our daughter's flight was delayed, they were great in dealing with the flight changes and keeping us informed and giving us every telephone number you could ever want. And this happened on a weekened. They have a number of programs listed for teens, most of them you choose the start and finish dates in week long blocks. Guatemala is great but may cause more parental anxiety due to the poverty and unstable geology - consider a family trip there to study Spanish. Much cheaper than Disneyworld and a whole lot more educational. http://www.launion.edu.gt/. Great service, wonderful people, and very reasonable price. I am sure there are many others as well.

I went to Spain last summer to study spanish and get immeresed in Spanish culture. The program that i attened was the San Fernando Institute in Sevilla. Basically, I stay with a family for about 3 and a half weeks. School lasted for 3 hours and in the afternoon, we went on trips around the city. Over the weekend we went to differrent parts of Andalucia like Granada, Cadiz, Ronda, and Cordoba.
