Summer orientations

Is it important to go to the summer orientations? Unless Fordham wants to fly me out there -- which considering how my finances were met, doubtful -- I will not be able to go to any of them. =( I know it's technically optional but in terms of being a new student, is it necessary?

Also, how do I get involved in urban plunge?? I really want to.

I'm not sure, but FYI, I'll be out of the country during that month and won't be able to go to either of them. I really wanted to, but I don't think it would be a vital thing.

Hi guys. The Summer Orientation Programs are optional. Their main purpose is to help put to rest some of the fears/tensions that new students and their families have the summer before their first year off to college. Its all individual perspective. If you can't make it here for them but you still have any questions or concerns you and your family can contact us at New Student Orientation by email (orientlc@fordham.edu) or phone (212) 636-6260. The program for these events will include a pannel discussion of Administrators for parents, and a pannel of current students to field the student's questions. Again, if you're not able to come you can contact us with your questions, but if you are able- it is recomended that you attend.

As far as Urban Plunge is concerned, you can sign up for that by contacting the Community Service Office. Here at LC it is (212) 636-7464. At RH it is (718) 817-4510.
