I applied for a research internship at some high school summer program at a pretty big research university.

They said they would post the list of accepted interns on their website on April 29th. It's been a while and I have emailed them and still no answer.

If I was to be rejected, I would sign up for community college classes this summer. But that deadline is approaching.

What should I do?? Ugh, it's annoying how they can't be punctual and just put the list up on time -_-

my experience with my son on this was that the programs that accepted him responded very quickly, and correspodence was easy with the coordinator. Those that waitlisted or rejected him tend to communicate the same as your experience. Ultimately, we received a denial or waitlist after a long wait. I hope this is helpful. I would move on, and if they do accept you, then adjust accordingly.

What university? Was it the BU research internship?

Interesting question pch340… it so happens that my son actually applied to BU research internship this year, and will be attending. The application process was so simple and easy, and the program coordinator was emailing us about the application status as it was being evaluated. We were getting answers very quickly, and he was accepted within 2-3weeks after he applied via email.

Register for the summer classes ASAP before they fill up. If you get the internship, just drop them.

Yeah, I applied to their High School Honors program, and got accepted a couple weeks ago. Not sure if I’ll be attending though. Research one is hard to get into, congrats to your son.
