Does anyone know any good proffessors in Pre-Med, Biology, or Chemistry at Tufts that are doing research and would allow a high-school student to go there an do an internship alongside them?

I am a Sophmore from New Jersey.
I attend a magnet high School in New Jersey, and major in Bio-medicine
(Not bergen academy, but Englewood Academy)
I am pretty good student if that helps.

PLEASSE I REALLY NEED TO FIND AN INTERNSHIP THIS SUMMER!

Email the professors at Tufts to see if they will let you help.

I participated in science fairs/math competitions in high school, and, from what I know, most people do research either by:

1.) participating in a program like RSI at MIT, where they are paired up with a mentor (however, these programs are VERY competitive though because so many people want to do it)

or 2.) emailing/ calling professors at a local college and asking them if they could help (however, you are probably going to have to ask A LOT of scientists since most of them don't want to have a high school student bothering them)

From your posts around CC, I noticed that you really want to do premed. My suggestion is that you try other things as well since doing well in biology is difficult. There are few competitions (e.g. USABO or Siemens/Intel) that you can do where you can really stand out. In addition, being premed doesn't mean you have to major in biology. A lot of people major in the humanities as well, and they are at NO disadvantage when it comes to admission to medical school.

any one else out there?
