Oh thanks @Multiverse7 ! do you know of any such programs? Preferably low cost?
Definitely look into Marist Collegeās Summer Program: https://www.google.com/search?q=marist+pre+college&oq=marist+&aqs=chrome.0.69i59j69i60l5.2038j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
Amazing opportunity!

Hey guys! Iām a junior and have an interest in medicine/neurology and plan to eventually pursue neurology at a med school. Iāve applied to the following summer research programs at colleges:
- University of Iowa SSTP
- University of Florida SSTP
- Texas Tech University Clark Scholars Program
- UC San Diego Research Scholars
- Boston University RISE Program
- Michigan State HSHSP
- Stanford University SIMR
- Cornell University RABS
I am awaiting results on all but 2 programs. I was waitlisted for University of Florida SSTP and accepted into Cornell RABS. Because the deadline for my attendance decision for Cornell is soon, I was wondering if itās really the best here. What are your rankings of all these programs in terms of good research?
Thanks
Is CampNuero worth it? It costs 550 for a week
Are there any competitive programs that are still open (to people 18 years old)? Preferably something on the level of SSP, Clark Summer Program, YESS, NIH Research, and MITES, or at least comparable. Humanities programs would preferable, but STEM programs would be okay as well.
check out the UCLA summer institute. itās reasonably priced and included room and board.
Think
SIMR
RABS
RISE
are the top three as far as selectivity/recognition on ur list
If you are in arts and writing, CSSSA (http://www.csssa.ca.gov/) tey have a fantastic summer program
Do any pre-college summer programs exist that focus on search engine optimization (SEO), front end development, or digital marketing or computer science programs exist for rising sophomores? Thanks!
Donāt join CMU AP/EA summer program. Itās waste of 7 to 8 K of your money. Seems like CMU themselves donāt value the grades of their AP/EA program. My Son who attended the summer program and had Strong A in 2 courses (1 computer science), didnāt get admission to their CSC despite other strong credentials (Perfect SAT in 1st Seating, 4.0 Unweighted GPA, Robotics school team for 3 years, various Math competition and participation AIME etc)
Thanks for the input. Good to knowā¦ Where did your son end up deciding to go? Were there any other programs you might recommend in the CS field? Thanks!!
He is probably going to Berkeley MET program (Founding class of EECS + Business dual degree). Based on my read on admitted student profiles, Stanford summer program looks good. I would also suggest to look for internship or research opportunity.
Yale Young Global Scholars vs MIT Launch. What do you think, guys?
Hi, can anyone give me some information on the Stanford Clinical Summer Internship program? My daugther just got accepted (she was rejected from the SIMR program) and she does not know if it is worth going as it is a paid summer program
Rising junior daughter was just accepted at University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute Summer Academy (UPCI). 8 week program, curriculum looks wonderful. Has anyone had any experience with this program?
I was just accepted as well! @jimali
One for Political Science, International Relations, Leadership. Public Speaking?
ACLU Summer Advocacy Institute!
MIT Launch!
