<p>Hey guys, I am considering a summer program this summer. :O</p>
<p>I read some good stuff about Brown and got an e-mail from them.. but frankly I don't know if I'll fit in... I'm pretty average (good grades but not as outgoing or competitive as others). I'm from Virginia so I am in no way as competitive or as knowledgeable as other kids that may attend Brown's 09 summer program.</p>
<p>I really want to go to Brown's though... do you guys think it will be okay for me? </p>
<p>I have an internship to do in the summer that will take around 4 - 6 weeks... Will I still have time to attend Brown's summer program? Is their schedule pretty flexible as in I can go their for 2 weeks or even 4 weeks?</p>
<p>What are some other good programs I can take? </p>
<p>P.S. - I am interested in math or science (I am planning to become a doctor)! I still don't know what majors I am going to take in college though. I am still a junior
P.S.S. - Where can I find out the cost? :O</p>
<p>The Brown program was really laid back. Basically, 95% of the classes meet for only 3 hours and then you have the rest of the day to do anything. Theoretically, you could take a train to NYC and as long as you're back by curfew you're golden. Everyone is pretty chill. It was great. Some people complained that there were not enough structured activities, but personally I was fine. In regard to homework, I didn't really have any, just the occasional powerpoint. This wasn't really the norm though. I'd say most people would have to do reading each night and then the rare paper (1-2 per week).</p>
<p>Brown is a really good summer program you could also look through columbia univeristy sumer program which is for 3 weeks which in my opinion would be eligible for you especially because u seem to be busy this summer. Anyway, dont worry about the grades thing because my friend went last year and she was a B student so dont worry there is a huge chance.</p>
