summer quarter?

<p>Allright so yeah, I'm a freshman right now and I'm thinking of doing summer quarter. My reasons for this are to get ahead on my degree requirements and also take a random class or two that I'm interested in. </p>

<p>So, I'm wondering what summer quarter is like: where do students stay? do I have to take 12 units? Is the length of the quarter the same? etc. </p>

<p>Any advice is greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>haha, I haven’t even started Stanford yet, but when I visited last July, it seemed like a Ghost town; I still saw a few classes, though.</p>
