<p>I’d recommend Invisible Man, though it’s a little long-winded</p>

<p>Whatever you do, I recommend The Awakening. We had to read that Junior (last) year for AP Lang and I absolutely loved it.</p>

<p>^ Agreed. I read it sophomore year in regular English and it was pretty good. Granted, if you (OP) are a guy, don’t get too excited for any action, explosions and whatnot (it’s 19th/20th century American literature with a female author), but it’s still a worthwhile read.</p>

<p>Fences-August Wilson. It’s actually a play, and it’s a very dramatic one</p>
