Summer Required Reading

<p>English: Pride and Prejudice, Crime and Punishment, The Awakening, The Scarlet Letter</p>

<p>Pride and prejudice and jane eyre are really good books ull enjoy reading them- if u haven't already</p>

<p>Maan, most of you only have 3 books to read.</p>

<p>AP literature- Crime and Punishment, Catch 22, Elements of Style
AP government- On Liberty, The Radical Center</p>

<p>Last year I had 11 summer readings (AP U.S. history, AP art history, AP English language, and American lit). That was hell, haha.</p>

<p>AP Lit: The Iliad (Homer)</p>

<p>We read like crazy throughout the year, so it's nice not to have too much during the summer.</p>

<p>AP Gov: No books, but we need to keep up with current events (through the newspaper, the internet, etc.) throughout the summer...</p>

<p>Thank god we only have to choose 4. But we also have to know the Bible for biblical allusions, etc. which means I have to read that too.</p>

<p>AP english: A Portrait of a Young Man as an Artist, Things Fall Apart, The Awkening (with projects for each one)
AP Calc: we have this huge summer review packet (it's 32 pages!) on everything we should know before calculus...
AP Chem: just like 3 chapters and problems from each chapter</p>

<p>The awakening is such a good book. I recommend it to all.</p>

<p>Zach.....do not gamble in van loo's class :) It is strictly illegal to gamble under the age of 18.</p>

<p>All the King's Men is a truly fantastic book.</p>

<p>My Antoina and The Jungle are both fabulous. The Scarlet Letter was not my cup of tea :(</p>
