Hey guys,
People on this board often refer to the summer research/internships they completed at universities. I live in the Bay Area, and I want to complete a summer internship in the field of psychology. What's the general procedure in contacting professors and such? When do you guys usually begin contacting them? Sorry, I'm kind of new to all of this. Are large state universities like UCs even interested in high school students?
Thanks!

stanford's got a top psychology department, and some kids i know do research there. Read up on some professors and check them out. Email them if u find them interesting. Remember, u'll probably receive very few responses because many top researchers don't wanna deal with the burden of high school students, so email a LOT of professors. I'm sure UC Berkeley has a lot of research opportunities too.
