<p>I applied for the Summer Scholars Program at LSU and I am wondering if anyone knows anything about it. The website is ambiguous and doesn't give specific information about the program. It says it's an 8 week program, participants take 6 credit hours of classes, but nothing really informative. Does anyone know specifics about the program, maybe someone who attended it before. What classes do you take, what residence hall do you stay in, things like that. Any help would be appreciated.</p>
<p>I was in a different summer program and saw those kids around campus a lot. They seemed pretty cool. They had a really tightly knit group. </p>
<p>Summer scholars is aimed at minorities. I don’t remember there being any white people. There was a korean(?) kid though. </p>
<p>If it sounds interesting, you should definitely do it. I overheard a program manager saying that they perform much better academically than students who don’t participate.</p>
