Summer Seminar 2005 Roster

To you Summer Seminar Alumni-

What did you do in the mornings before the workshops?

haha optional... yes Optional PT

but morning formations were early.... breakfest... then classes

Question for all you who've sent your response forms back for the summer seminar. I sent mine back about 3 days after I recieved them, and in the packet it said they would notify me when they recieved the packet. It's now about a month later and I haven't seen anything. Has anyone else recieved an e-mail confirming that USAFA has the papers?

i sent mine in a few days ago, got my confirmation today. you should probably e-mail them to check

The same happened to me. I hadn't heard a response in about two weeks, so I e-mailed them. They e-mailed me back and said they were having trouble sending e-mails off-base the week before and they had my packet.

Did you just use the same e-mail address from the acceptance e-mail, or is there another I should be using?

I think you should just use the one that first came with your acceptance e-mail. Also, what airline are you flying falconhopeful? I'm on northwest out of msp on the day of.

I ended up just using that same e-mail...thanks for the responses. I am flying northwest out of minneapolis. Can't remember what time my flight is though...i believe it's somewhere around noon.

Ok, just got my flight assignment. NW1231 out of MSP at 11:44. Is that what you're taking?

Yep, I'm on NW1231...but my sheet says the flights at 11:20.

Hey guys, I just found out about this site. I'll be at Session A, I'm from MN. My flight is not the same as anyone esle leaving from MSP unfortunately.

Soccer, you from the metro?

not sure how they'll run it this year... maybe it was b/c we had bad weather last year ... but you have ALOT of down time... I remember just sitting in my room an putzing around for a while...

don't bring cleats.. I know kids who did...just a waste...

remember your kaki shorts/pants for your classes... but besides that you don't need anything... they give you sooo much clothes it's ridiculous

Hey tbby, how do they know what size you are and stuff? I know that sounds like a dumb question, I just want to make sure there wasn't a form to fill out that I missed. When you were there, were there a lot of evening activities and stuff like that other than the dance?

wait a minute, shorts? i thought we couldn't have those for the classes...

As did I...it says long pants in the packet.

I went to all my classes in Kaki Shorts... no one had a problem..... even though summer seminar is in the middle of june... I'd bring long pants and maybe a jacket b/c the weather out there is NUTS!!!!!

Soccer1458
The cadets who hand out the clothes look at you and guestimate your size haha seems pretty weird but that's how they did it last year, we got
5 t-shirts
sweat pants
sweat shirt
pens
water bottle
mesh shorts
leather forlder
hat
and a bunch of other stuff I'm probably forgetting

to answer the question about hte dance
Guys:
most guys wore a dress shirt and kaki pants (some wore ties... some wore black slacks)
girls:
most wore evening dresses.... hard to describe.. but I'm sure the girls know what I'm talking about

Oh yah to answer the evening activities.....

hmmm....

I can remember the dance... but most of the other nights it was pretty much down time... you just hung out with your element most of the night and your element leader

kind of an off-topic question here, what did you think of the food? I heard someone else say it wasn't very good, but I think they were comparing it to WP. I visited last year and I thought it was decent.

the the was ehhhh..... ehhhhhhh... the staff at mitch hall aren't the friendliest bunch either

the food at WP/washington hall was 10x better..

that's my personal opinion of course
