My school starts on August 27th and this will be my senior year. Does anyone else think that this summer has just absolutely flown by, or has it been dragging on for you? For me, this has been one of the fastest summers ever. I really can't believe that it's already about the end of July. If it has flown by for you, are you sad or excited? If it's been dragging on, are you bored? Share your summer speed. :)

Summer always seems to go by quickly for me. It makes me feel depressed because I don’t want to go back to school. :c

I start on the 20th and this will be my senior year too. It went by so fast. (All of high school has really.) I’m ready for it to be the 2nd semester already so that the stress of applying to college can be over.

You think THAT’S bad? I start in like a week and a half, dude.

Pretty much every summer in the past, I’ve been bored out of my mind and had absolutely nothing to do, but this summer, I’ve been really busy with volunteering, self-studies, music, and other stuff in general, so it has flown by. I can’t believe soph year starts in only 3 weeks.

I start on August 9th. I haven’t started my summer reading so I have to soon.

Only two more years of high school… dreadful to think about. I DUN WANNA GROW UP.
I need to make myself a bucket list of things to do before the end of senior year so that I can enjoy high school as much as I can.

I love summer because I get to be lazy, but in a way, I dislike it because it’s so boring and I end up wasting my time, even when I truly want to do something proactive.
going back to school is bad, but in a way good at the same time because it motivates me to do the things I want to do lol.

Summer is awesome…for about 3 weeks, then I’m honestly ready to go back to school. I am the youngest (15,sophomore) Now that my parents are getting older and my brothers are in college, it gets boring. The summer has dragged for me.

Plus, I’m 15, right at that age where you really want to go drive and do things yourself but you can’t. My parents are workaholics and cannot take me places so I sit at home on CC lol. And I have ADHD and need to be constantly active

@Alex SAME!! I’m 15 also, and I hate that I can’t drive myself places (I have yet to get my permit :().

The thing that sucks about skipping a grade is age.

I want to apply to several internships and I’m “eligible” apparently because I’m an upcoming junior. BUT TEN I’m not eligible because I’m 15 and I’m considered too young. And then I can’t apply for internships next year because upcoming seniors are ineligible to apply for stuff.

And I need to learn how to drive. My parents drive me around everywhere and get irritated by all of the ECs I want to participate in. I should probably start taking drivers ed now so I can drive by January.

@Alex & Elf: Believe me, I was in exactly the same situation. I had a million different things to do during the school year and the summer, and my parents always had to drop me off or pick me up, and I always had to depend on their schedules. I know how you feel. But, everyone goes through that and it is SO worth it once you actually start driving and getting to drop yourself off. The only downside is gas… :P

Speed ****s you up, bro. Even if it’s the summer, that’s no excuse to start taking it.

This summer flew by for me. Today was my first day of school.

Our school starts in September, but that’s because we let out later in June. Summer hasn’t been going by fast or slow for me.

In the beginning, summer seems slow or enjoyable but after a few weeks, I just want o go back to school. I rarely see friends during vacation for various reason and at school, you see them like everyday.

the start of summer drags so much that it’s unbearable, and the end just flies by. thankfully, I’m still in the middle of my summer, and the speed of time is quite nice usually it’s still dragging at this point for me

Yeah, I’ve got like 2 weeks and summer has flown. So all you late August complainers, you still have half your summer!
