Suny Albany Party school?

I might go to albany for pharmacy, but it has a really bad reputation for being a party school and I'm not into that kind of stuff. Is it really a party school as reputation says? It has a special pharmacist program I want to join but its rep is making me wonder if it is worth it..

As is the case for most schools, people hold an exaggerated view of the extent of drinking. The majority of undergrads drink moderately or not at all. A portion of students drink excessively, and unfortunately, these students are more visible than the non and moderate drinkers. Sometimes a reputation is just that; the facts can be quite different.

Most schools have a party crowd. There are plenty of students that don’t drink or take drugs at Albany!

Albany Pharmacy is not part of the University at Albany. Having said that, UAlbany is no more a party school than any other.

If you are thinking of going to the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences you should know that it is not affiliated with SUNY Albany. ACPHS is located near the Albany Medical Center, Albany College of Law and Sage Graduate School. None of the kids from our area who have gone there would be considered even moderate partiers.
