I see that SB offers merit scholarships for incoming freshmen. I haven’t found anything on their website that specifically mentions merit scholarships for transfer students in the way that freshmen are automatically considered for them when they apply. Has anyone had any experience with this? Thank you in advance.
The SUNY school system is financed by the State of New York, so assume that their budget for financial aid is going to be very limited because the SUNYs are funded by public dollars.
You’re going to have to contact the financial aid office directly and find out if they have transfer merit aid. Usually the best aid is for entering freshmen that they want to attract. Transfers would fill out a FAFSA and see if they qualified for need-based aid. If you’re a resident of New York you may have more options.
