My understanding has been that it is mostly Honor code-centric. Is this true? It seems to me that the prompt has more elements than that, and I tried to include them, but my essay really just ended up being about how I learned to value honesty and how that makes me a good fit for davidson. Is that enough? I am panicking a little because I had my dad read it and he said it didn't answer the prompt.

Relax. I had my teacher read over it too, because I was so confused. I felt like I answered one half of the question but yet missed the Honor Code part entirely. So my teacher told me to break it up, b/c the prompt says(if this is the one I am thinking) that Davidson is bound by the honor code, and committed to thoughtful discourse, inclusiveness, and socially engaged community. Since it says reflect on your background and educational background, tie that in to the discourse, inclusiveness and socially engaged part. For instance, in my essay I discussed a school class that utulized in class essays instead of memorization tests, and an extra curricular for the socially engaged and inclusive part. Hope this kinda helps…:/

That does help. That is actually quite similar to what I decided to do, although with different examples.

Thanks! I feel less frantic now.
