Hello,
The ACT recently announced its new policy changes, and one of them involves superscoring. But after reading the press release and ACT website, I’m still a little unclear on when this will become effective.
Several other changes announced (individual test retake, faster results, test centers) all with the preface that these changes would be coming in Sept 2020. The confusing part is when does the superscoring start? Is it only with test administrations AFTER Sept 2020? Or would test administrations before Sept 2020 be eligible for superscoring?
If anyone knows the answer to this, please let me know.
Not entirely sure, but I believe it is only with those AFTER Sept 2020
If schools super score, you currently can send in all your ACT results and the school will super score and this is valid now. (i.e.: took it 3 times and schools see all 3 reports)
When ACT begins offering section testing (planned for Sept) they will put all your scores in one report when sending to schools and highlighting the top score for each section. I thought they had a sample of this report on the ACT website as an example. Not all schools will accept super scores, so will be important to understand if your schools will consider the section retake score. If they don’t accept super scores, the school will take your highest composite test.
