Superscoring the ACT list

at vandy, the difference between 31 and 34 becomes almost meaningless. i wouldn't worry about my standardized testing.
at that level admission is all about your ecs, gpa, recs, essays. i'm sure you'll be fine. community and your contribution to it is the name of the game. just make sure you visit and like the school before setting your sights on it.

what i think is interesting about this whole superscoring thing--be it sat/act--is that the data is manipulated by the school. clearly a business decision in order to play the USN&WR game/rankings to the best. I doubt if it's an altruistic motive to recognize the ridiculous length of these tests set at 8am for a teenager (who are always at their best at that hour!).

Difference between a 31 and a 34 becomes meaningless? That's about the equivalent of 200 points on the SAT. It may not have a HUGE impact, but it should definitely help. While other things may hold more weight, that much improvement may just push you over the edge.
