So my kid is applying in the regular decision round. When he was gathering all the supplementals that he had to write earlier in the year, we checked the Wesleyan website and saw that they didn’t have any supplementals necessary for the main application but they did allow a video of 2 contrasting monologues from applicants interested in theatre.
I just went back to their website to check format, where to upload, etc, and now the theatre supplementals tab tells me that Wesleyan wants an essay on theatre in our communities instead of a monologue video. Um? Did that change, or was I crazy or reading the wrong website?
Hi @ninakatarina - my D applied in theatre RD last year and I know she uploaded supplemental materials. I an pretty sure she didn’t write an essay on theatre but her Wes app was one of the last ones she turned in so maybe it was there and she missed it.
Honestly the essay may be easier than the monologue video. We had done 4 takes so far and kiddo hasn’t liked any of them. We can recycle those for scholarship applications, if he ever gets a take he likes.
