<p>Does that mean you may submit materials ONLY for those majors?</p>

<p>Nope. If you read the sentences below the one you quoted…</p>
<p>"You may also submit an additional recommendation from anyone who knows you well (e.g., coach, music or foreign language teacher, member of your community).</p>
<p>You may also submit a short creative writing sample or scientific research abstract."</p>
<p>I know many students at my high school who submitted supplemental LORs, and I personally submitted a research abstract to Chicago.</p>
