Surfer Boy's Chances

Hey, this is Jason
I've already applied to UCLA, Cal, UCSD, UCD, and UCSB.
I'm working on my Stanford App as its due in 13 days.
I'm also applying to Dartmouth, but I'm not sure if I should just go for the other Ivys. My dad works with the Admissions Officer for Nor Cal so she has motivated me to apply there. What other Ivys are good for me?

UC essays:
1) My research project- dealing with anesthetics: allowing anesthesiologists to base their anesthetic administration on its effects on bacteria (in cases involving epidural surgery- some anesthetics actually promote bacterial infection, and thus paralysis and death)
I worked with scientists at LLNL

2) My day in the Operating Room where I learned the techniques and responsibilities of anesthesiologists- awesome experience
realized I wanted to become an anesthesiologist
-talked about how I am inspired by the work of my grandfather (Stanford grad), who founded the UCI med school and wrote the main anesthesia text book for med school, and my great grandfather, who helped evolve the anesthesia department at UCSF and became dean

3) Surfing- How I have grown through surfing.
It has taught me how delicate life is and how we should live life to the fullest

How do you think I'll do with my chosen schools, and are there any suggestions about where else I should think about applying to

"talked about how I am inspired by the work of my grandfather (Stanford grad), who founded the UCI med school and wrote the main anesthesia text book for med school, and my great grandfather, who helped evolve the anesthesia department at UCSF and became dean"

WOW!

hah you could get in on legacy alone

Well..... can you forget the legacy, and just evaluate me on my stats.

No love from anyone else?

I think you have a GREAT chance at all the schools listed...Seriously. Your scores are amazing, and your ECs are solid, especially sports. I'd say you have about 60-70 chance at Stanford, but then again, that's just me ;)

JCOliver87:

Sometimes there is such thing as TOO MUCH legacy...

UCLA: Match
UCB: Match
UCSD: Safe Match
UCD: Safety
UCSB: Safety

Stanford: Match (Legacy)
Dartmouth: Slight Reach

Thanks for the comments Flopsy
To tell you the truth, I'm a true bruin as I've grown up with the idea that "UCLA is number 1." Both parents are bruins, and my grandpa was actually a med student at UCLA. Mom was born in the hospital. Half of my extented family is CAL and half is UCLA.
Any more comments?

Your going get your choice of UCLA, UCB, Stanford. You have great grades, test scores, EC, and legacy.

wish i had grades like that...
