<p>I am doing a project/survey for my education class. It is about the cost that parents have to pay for UCB educations. In other words, how much are your parents(or you) paying for college? If nothing, just post $0. I have to plot the different answers.</p>

<p>Are you referring only to UC fees? Books & Misc? Room and board? Health insurance?</p>
<p>UC fees run around $10k a year.
Room & board around $15k
Books & Misc around $2k
Health insurance (i.e. SHIP) around $1k</p>
<p>Deduct scholarships, grants, etc. if any
What about student loans? Is that part of who pays?</p>

9K for housing</p>
<p>California resident. I live off-campus.</p>
<p>Registration fees (tuition, insurance, transit, student services) is around $6300 per semester. My financial aid (scholarships, grants, work-study) covers most of it.</p>

<p>I mean how much money out of your parent’s pocket (or yours) goes into paying for college? This includes UC Fees, tuition,SHIP, textbooks, housing, etc. </p>

<p>yeah-the best way to get responses would be to make an anonymous questionnaire using surveymonkey and then just inviting all of your fb friends to an event to take it.</p>
