Suspended for academic dishonesty.

My friend was suspended for a semester for academic dishonesty. She also got an F for the course in question. From what I understand, this will stay on her record for 6 years after she leaves the school. Is this going to prevent her from going to grad school? What are her options? What advice can I give her right now? What's the best way to console her?

What happened. See if there was any mistake or misunderstanding and focus on that. If your friend really did cheat, then the best thing to do would to

I don’t know if it would prevent her from going to grad school at all, but it definitely will look very bad and probably keep her out of better grad program that she could have gotten into had she not had the academic dishonesty accusation on her record.

Would it be possible for her to transfer to another college for the duration of her suspension?

Looks like her life is over.

If your friend is hot (Saying like a 9/10 or 10/10), then tell her to tough it out. I’ll save her a couple of years down the line when I make a lot of money and we’ll discuss her problems in my penthouse suite over a bottle of the finest wine money can buy.
