Suspension and my chances in college?

I got a 2 day oss for making a fake parking pass. I am a good student overall and my gpa is about 4.3 and i do extra curricular clubs and whatnot and have a few hundred hours of community service. i am a junior in hs and i have yet to take my SAT and ACT but im planning on scoring around 1800-2000 range. Lol I feel like i sound so conceited. I still want to go to good colleges such as university of Chicago or boston university but will the suspension ruin those chances? Please answer :)

Try to explain yourself.

Do you think theyll penalize me majorly for this reason?

As long as you write a mature, thoughtful response about what you learned from the situation in the add’l info section of applications, you will be just fine.

Honestly, I think you should try to emphasize the best parts of your resume and not let the whole suspension situation take over. You could explain yourself in the “additional info” as the above user said, but don’t let it consume your whole resume – otherwise, that’s all the admissions officer will end up thinking about!

Lol. I got suspended yesterday. xD

Actually, common app specifically asks about disciplinary actions and allows you a place to explain yourself- this is where you would include this. You will be required to mention it on all college applications.

Why’d you make a fake parking pass?

And why’d you get suspended @tacoperson123‌?

First, find out from your guidance counselor exactly (word for word, if possible) how this will look in the materials your school will send to colleges. The length and depth of your explanation should be proportionate to what the school tells them, not too much and not too little.
