Anyhow, on to what you actually care about. :)
Your grades seemed to be on the low end for your first 2 years of HS, but you've pulled things up to a good level, which I'm sure they'll consider. Your test scores are awesome, so that's not a problem.
You've definitely got a good hook, your writing ability--but lots of students write. What is it that you're passionate about? I think that's what they're looking for--a passion. Show that in your essays and teacher reccomendations, and I think you should be fine. :)
