Swarthmore Engineering

I'm interested in engineering schools, and I know that Swarthmore is a Liberal Arts college, but I've heard that it has a pretty good engineering program. From what I've seen, you can only major in general engineering there, but does anyone have more information about the engineering program? (ie- possible concentrations, engineering minors?) I really like Swarthmore but I also want to study like Biological/Chemical/Biomedical Engineering. Would this be possible here?

[Swarthmore College - Department of Engineering FAQ](http://engin.swarthmore.edu/faq.php)

The engineering department doesn’t offer the specific concentration you’re looking for, but some combination of Biology/Chemistry/Engineering courses would be possible (though double-majoring with Engineering is very difficult). A Swarthmore engineering degree, with some Bio and Chem classes, will still prepare you for grad school in the field(s) you’re interested in. Feel free to contact the department with more specific questions about your areas of interest.

fyi, there are a couple of dead embedded link in that link you provided. They were the ‘where can I get a job with a Swat ENG degree’ and what grad schools can I get into w/ same?

Roderick–the links work fine for me…but in any case, the info is all on the same page, so you can just scroll down to see the answers if clicking to them directly isn’t working.

If you keep having the problem, feel free to email the Engineering department and let them know.

I still got that dead link at
[Swarthmore College - Department of Engineering FAQ](http://engin.swarthmore.edu/faq.php)
in the following line. someone for whom this is not dead , please copy/paste it into this thread.

Hmm. That link is dead for me too (sorry–I misunderstood which links you were talking about before). If you email the Engineering department, they’ll probably be able to send you the information (and they’ll be grateful to know that their website was broken!).
