why would you WANT to rub it in their faces? You got into one of the greatest universities in the world yes, but it doesn't make you a better person than the other people. Just because you got in doesn't give you the right to tell everyone and brag about it nonstop. Yes you can act as you wish and you should be proud of getting in, but rubbing it in people's faces is something most people would not want to do, i would hope.

It doesn't necessarily make you a better person, but it sure makes you better :)

Yes, I would still want to kick the **** out of a person who ran around gloating and rubbing it in my face, but I damn well walked around the campus with my head literally held high, and I was very proud to be there. Granted, I didn't actually push it in peoples' faces, but I wasn't at all shy about letting them know it if they asked.

haha yeah ok that's a good balance, cause personally i would hate someone who ran around rubbing it in my face. It's definitely not something to be shy aboutas well though either.

drat! I just got a sweatshirt from ivysport that is a size smaller than what I ordered!!!

Yes, I agree. Rubbing it in other people's faces is terrible - it's immature and stupid. This is what I have been accused of though by several people that have had it in for me for a long time, not what I'm doing. I'm trying to do the opposite; it's just been difficult to totally downplay my acceptance because I feel I have just as much of a right for school pride as everybody else.

Yeah...I absolutely hate my classmates who go around wearing their Harvard t-shirts and sweatshirts around. I guess it's my personal problem, but I really don't like being reminded of Harvard and the waitlist (especially since these kids know I love Harvard...). Its not like people don't know they got in, so why wear it EVERY FRIGGIN DAY?!
